Small groups are a great way to grow in faith in God and develop relationships with other Christians. These groups are both supportive and challenging. Miller Couples Small Group – This group of couples join together for study and service at members homes. This group led our 2014 Global Impact Celebration. Group is currently full.
Crawford Small Group – One of our new groups this year, all adults are welcome to join them on Sundays, 6-8pm in the Crawford’s home as they fellowship and study together. Contact the Crawfords at (217) 418-4819 for info.
Faith Explorers – This is an ongoing fellowship, discussion study group for women. They meet at the Naas’ home from 4:30pm-5:30pm on Mondays. They are involved with St. Benedicts and the Help Office. Leader is Paula Naas. Ladies of all ages are welcome!
Golden Girls Women’s Group – An ongoing study group for women. They use various studies as they grow spiritually. They meet in members’ homes. Group is currently full.
Open Arms Too –These women meet for study, sharing and prayer as they continue their Christian walk. They meet on Tuesdays at 7:00am during the school year in ROC 104. Janet Land is the leader. Fall Study: “Ephesians” by Max Lucado.
Potter’s Clay – A mission-minded spiritual growth group for women, divided into 10-12 week sessions with emphasis on supporting and encouraging each other in their faith walks and help to those around them with needs. They currently are helping Adrienne’s House and St. Benedicts. They meet on Tuesday mornings during the school year at 9am in ROC 103 and will begin “Stronger” by Angela Thomas. Men’s Earlybird Group – This group of men start their Wednesdays out right! They meet in the ROC at 7:30am and are finished in time to head to work around 8:15am. Leader is Mike Goad.
Wednesday Bible Study – This is a discussion group that studies various groups of the Bible, most recently using the Immersion Bible Study from Cokesbury. They meet on Wednesdays, 10am, in ROC 104. Ed Tabor is the leader.
Women’s Wednesday Group – Women of all ages are welcome to join this Wednesday study group. Beth Bell leads this group on Wednesdays at 6pm in ROC 104.
Young Women’s Group – Are you a 20-something who’d like to study and fellowship with other women your age? One of our newest small groups is the place for you! Alicia Marts will facilitate this group in ROC 105 on Thursdays at 7pm. Come join us!
Couples Small Group – This group of 30-somethings studies together on Wednesdays at 5:45pm at church. Steve and Carla Easley are leaders. This fall they will begin with the study, “House or Home.”
Men’s Reading/Discussion Group – Men of all ages are welcome to this group that meets in ROC 104 on Wednesday evenings at 5:45pm. Jerry Saunders is the current contact person, with members rotating as facilitators. This group also enjoys a once a month breakfast on Saturdays at Ryan’s.
Couples Small Group – This is an ongoing fellowship, discussion study group for adults that meets in member’s homes. This group meets at 6:30pm on Thursdays at member’s homes.
United Methodist Women – The purpose of the UMW is to know God, to develop fellowship and to expand mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. We currently have five active circles, three morning circles and two evening. 2016 UMW co-presidents are Dukie Tabor and Mary Rullman.
Comforters – This group combines their love for God with their love of quilting. They give away several beautiful quilts each year. The Comforters meet each Wednesday in EB 305. Contact is Adrienne Feige.
God’s Troubadours – This group of folk instrument players truly “make a joyful noise unto the Lord!” They play for church functions as well as monthly nursing home visits. They meet at 6:00pm on Wednesdays during the school year in the Chapel. Joan Kolok leads this group.
Knitters – Our knitting ministry is a wonderful group who prays over each piece as it is being made then delivers it to a special person. The Knitters meet on Thursdays at 1:30pm in ROC 103 during the school year. Contact Joanna Blaney.
Roadrunners – The Roadrunners are on the road once a month during the school year. Primarily 50’s and over, the Roadrunners enjoy a variety of day trips around Kentucky and surrounding areas.
