There are many opportunities to be Hands-On in your Ministry. Below our several opportunities offered through Settle. Please contact Anthony Marts at if you are able to volunteer for any of these opportunities.

     Owensboro Homeless Resource Fair: Wednesday, January 27th from 8am to 12pm. This is Settle’s 3rd year hosting this Resource Fair. We will welcome in over 25 help agencies from the community and offer resources like eye exams, dental screenings, hair cuts, showers, hot food, coats, blankets and more!

You can be Hands-On through:

  • Helping prepare and serve the Hot Food
  • Helping provide one of the services listed (i.e. Barbers can help cut hair)
  • Welcoming in the over 200 individuals expected and directing them to services provided.Group



Saint Benedict’s Shelter- Every Wednesday night, Settle provides the meal, volunteers to serve the meal, and check-in volunteers for this Emergency Men’s Shelter.

You can be Hands-On through:

  •  Helping cook the meal for 60 men. 
  • Serving the meal from 8pm-9pm that night.
  •  Helping Check-In and watch over the Men from 8pm to Midnight.

Audubon Elementary Backpacks– Each week during the school year Settle provides backpacks of food for students at Audubon to take home each weekend. The backpack consists of 2 breakfasts, 2 fruits, 2 snacks, 2 drinks, and 3 entrees.

 You can be Hands-On through:  

  •   Packing the backpacks with food.
  •  Taking the filled backpacks to Audubon Elementary.  
  •   Picking up the empty backpacks and bringing them to Settle.                                             


  Maceo U.M.C.- This small church is located in Maceo, KY and Settle helps provide support for the church and congregation. Settle sponsors their backpack program for East View Elementary and other yearly events.

You can be Hands-On through:

  •   Providing music for their worship.                                                                              
  •   Taking food to the church for the backpack program.                                                        
  •  Volunteering to help with annual events like Easter Egg Hunts and Trunk for Treats.

Settle Memorial Mission Tree- Each year Settle Memorial takes 15 students each from Audubon, East View, Estes, and Foust Elementary Schools to provide Christmas Gifts for. Each child will receive 2 outfits, shoes, socks, and a fun gift.

You can be Hands-On through:

  • Taking a Mission Tree ornament and providing the gift listed
  • Returning the gift wrapped with the ornament attached
  • Help sort the returned gifts
  • Help deliver the gifts to Schools or Homes.
